How to Make an AI Dance Video From One Photo (2026)
You do not need to film yourself dancing. In PulseMotionHub’s Dance & Moves mode you upload one photo, choose a ready-made move, and the person in your photo performs it. No clip to find and no prompt to write. Here is how it works, how to pick a photo that gives good results, what it costs, and where the technology still falls short.
- Find it in the Presets tab under Dance & Moves: upload a photo, pick a move, generate.
- Your photo sets the look and the background. The move supplies the motion.
- Each move is a short clip priced at 1 credit per 2 seconds, so about 3 to 4 credits each.
- Use a clear, well-lit photo of one person with their arms visible, and only photos you have the right to use.
How AI Dance Videos Work
The feature uses motion transfer, powered by Kling Motion Control. It takes two inputs: a still photo of a person, and a short reference clip of someone moving. It then generates a new video in which the person from your photo performs the movement from the clip, in your photo’s setting. The original dancer’s movement is copied. Your photo keeps its own look.
The reference clips are built into PulseMotionHub, so you only upload the photo. If you want to use your own clip instead, that is a separate tool, covered in Motion Swap vs Dance & Moves.
Step-by-Step
What It Costs
Dance & Moves is priced like our other motion tools: 1 credit per 2 seconds of video. Each move shows its exact price before you generate, and most land at 3 or 4 credits.
| Move length | Credits | At Starter | At Pro | At Studio |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 6 seconds | 3 | $1.56 | $1.47 | $1.17 |
| 8 seconds | 4 | $2.08 | $1.96 | $1.56 |
Failed renders are refunded automatically. See the credit costs page for every tool’s price.
Choosing the Right Photo
- One person only. Group photos confuse the model about who should move.
- Arms and hands visible. If arms are hidden, the model has to guess what they do.
- Match the framing. A full-body photo suits a full-body move; a waist-up photo suits an upper-body move.
- Good light and a sharp image. A photo of at least 720p works best.
- A plain, uncluttered background gives cleaner results.
