15 Image-to-Video Prompts for Product Photos (Copy and Paste)
Product prompts have one extra rule: the product must stay exactly as it is. Everything else, the camera, the light and the setting, can move. These fifteen prompts show how to phrase that, grouped by product type, with notes on where AI tends to go wrong.
- Always say the product stays unchanged: shape, color, logo and text.
- Move the camera and light, not the product, unless you want a turn or float.
- Keep backgrounds simple. Clutter invites distortion.
- Check logos and text frame by frame, and keep real photos in listings.
The Formula
Formula: camera move + subject action + setting or light + what must stay the same. Keep each part short.
For products the constraint is the most important part: “the product stays exactly the same, shape, color and label unchanged”. Without it, packaging and logos can drift.
Try any of these with a 5-second Kling v2.1 clip first. That is 1 credit, and you can step up to Kling 2.5 Turbo Pro (2 credits) or Kling 3.0 Pro (2 credits, Pro and Studio plans) once a prompt works.

Where AI Tends to Go Wrong With Products
- Text and logos. They garble. Crop them out or add them back in your editor.
- Small parts. Buttons, ports and clasps may appear, vanish or move.
- Reflections. They can flicker. Choose models and photos carefully.
- Scale. Items can look larger or smaller as the camera moves.
Be Honest About the Product
Whatever the clip shows, buyers are relying on it. Do not add features, change finishes or make a product look larger. Keep real photos in listings, and label generated clips where needed. For a one-click route, see the presets Hero Reveal, Product Turntable and Levitate, and our guide to product videos. Remove a busy background first with the background remover (1 credit).
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a good prompt for a product video?
Describe the camera move and the light, then state that the product stays exactly the same: shape, color, label and logo. For example, “Soft light sweeps across the glass bottle, slow push-in, the bottle and label stay unchanged.”
Why do logos and text change in AI video?
Generated video struggles to keep fine lettering stable. Crop or avoid text in the photo, or add it back in your editor.
Should the product move?
Usually the camera and light should move while the product stays still. Use the Product Turntable or Levitate presets when you want the product itself to turn or float.
How much does it cost to test?
A 5-second Kling v2.1 clip is 1 credit, and a one-click preset is 1 credit.
Can I use these clips on a store listing?
Keep real photos in the listing, make sure the clip does not invent features, and follow the marketplace’s rules for AI-generated content.
