Seedance 2.5 vs Wan 3.0: Which AI Video Model to Use
Seedance 2.5 and Wan 3.0 are the two newest models in our Next-Gen tab, and both make clips of up to 30 seconds with optional sound. They differ most in price and plan access. We will not pretend to crown a quality winner, because the honest answer depends on your prompt, but we can show exactly what each costs and give you a cheap way to find out for yourself.
- Wan 3.0 costs less at every length and works on every paid plan.
- Seedance 2.5 costs more, needs Pro or Studio, and is worth testing when a clip really matters.
- Test the same prompt on both at Draft 480p for about 7 credits before spending on a long HD render.
- Both support text to video, image to video, optional sound and 5, 10, 15 or 30-second clips.

Choose Wan 3.0 When…
- You are on Starter, or paying pay-per-use and watching every credit.
- You are iterating on a prompt and expect to throw away most attempts.
- You need a long clip and the budget matters more than squeezing out the last bit of polish.
- You make clips in volume, such as social posts or backgrounds.
Choose Seedance 2.5 When…
- You are on Pro or Studio and the clip is a hero shot that justifies the extra credits.
- Wan 3.0 got close but not quite right, and you want a second model’s take on the same prompt.
- You want the same price whether you start from text or from a photo.
A Cheap Way to Test Both
Because nobody can tell you in advance which model suits your scene, run an A/B test at Draft quality:
Draft clips are a fair preview of motion and composition, but they will look softer than HD, so judge movement and framing rather than fine detail.
What About Older Models?
Seedance 2.0 Fast (Premium tab, 5 or 10 seconds) and Kling v2.1 (1 credit for 5 seconds) are still the cheapest ways to make short clips. Next-Gen is for when you want length. See Kling vs Hailuo vs Seedance for the earlier generation.
