How Much Does AI Video Cost Per Second? A Credit Breakdown
Comparing AI video prices is hard because every model quotes a different unit: a clip, a few seconds, a minute. Putting them all in the same unit, credits per second, makes the choice much clearer. This table does that for every video model on PulseMotionHub, using our live credit prices.
- The cheapest video costs roughly 0.2 credits per second (Kling v2.1) and the most expensive about 2 credits per second (Veo 3.1 and Seedance 2.5 HD).
- Long Next-Gen clips are cheaper per second than short ones: Wan 3.0 Draft drops to about 0.23 credits per second at 30 seconds.
- Dollar figures here use the Starter price of about $0.52 per credit. Pro and Studio are cheaper per credit.
- The price per second is not the whole story: a clip that works first time beats a cheap clip you have to redo.
The Table
Dollar figures use the Starter credit price of about $0.52. Multiply by $0.49 for Pro, $0.39 for Studio, or $0.46 to $0.60 for pay-per-use. Clips shown at their standard length for the model.

What the Numbers Show
- The bottom of the range is cheap. Kling v2.1 at 1 credit for 5 seconds is about 0.2 credits per second.
- Premium models cost more. Veo 3.1 generates audio with the video at 16 credits for 8 seconds, and Seedance 2.5 HD sits at about the same level per second.
- Longer Next-Gen clips cost less per second. A 5-second Wan 3.0 Draft is 2 credits (0.40 per second), but a 30-second one is 7 credits (0.23 per second).
- AI Director looks expensive per second until you count what is in it. At 21 credits for 30 seconds it includes planning, several scenes, narration and assembly.
Cost per Second Is Not Cost per Usable Second
A model that follows your prompt closely wastes fewer credits. If a cheap model needs three tries for a clip a better model delivers on the first, the better one is cheaper. The honest way to compare is cost per usable second, which you only learn by testing your own kind of scene.
A simple test: run the same prompt on two models at their cheapest settings and compare. Our guide to the cheapest way to make AI video covers the drafting habits that make this efficient.
A 5-second Kling v2.1 clip is 1 credit, about $0.52 on Starter.
How This Compares With Other Tools
Competing platforms price in their own units, such as monthly credits or generation minutes, and their prices change often, so we do not quote them here. To compare fairly, divide a plan’s monthly price by the seconds of video you can actually make with it. For our side, how many videos 90 credits make shows that calculation.
Image, Audio and Other Tools for Comparison

| AI music (one song) | 5 |
| Video upscale 2x / 4x | 1 / 2 |
| Dance & Moves and Motion Swap | 1 per 2 seconds |
